My name is Elizabeth.
My family has always been in the low to middle class. My Grandfather was a Joe.. his name was Bert. He was a coal miner. My Great Grandfather was a farmer and a Deputy Sheriff. He was a Joe.. his name was Luther. My Mother worked in a bank.. she was a Joe. Her name was Roberta. I’ve worked in a donut shop, in a clothing store, and in a deli. I am a Joe.
We are and were all Joes.
When they attack Joe they attack me and everyone in my family. When they ridicule Joe they ridicule me and everyone in my family. And just like Joe I’m sure if I asked a question they deemed not to flatter their candidate I’d be crucified on the cross of media attention as they’ve done to Joe.
It’s not just Joe and I. It’s you.
If you a simple voter ask the wrong questions they will destroy you.
Do you want that for our country.
I don’t.
Joe didn’t go looking for Obama. Joe was playing with his child in his own front yard. Obama drove up with his media circus and interrupted Joe’s life. Joe asked an honest simple question. Obama answered.
The problem is that when he answered “their” hero let the cat out of the bag. He gave voice to what his true philosphy is and that is why the raging insane hordes of his followers and the media have attacked Joe.
Because they know we don’t believe like Obama does. That we want to be left alone to live our own lives without the government intervening in our affairs. We don’t want the government to take our money to give to people who they believe deserve it, the banks, or wall street.
We are not heartless people.
We believe in voluntary charity not government enforced charity.
And we give and live that belief every day of our lives.
We don’t believe in class warfare and share the wealth Socialism.
One thing we hold dear is freedom of speech. Now we’ve seen what happens when you dare to act upon that freedom in a way that they don’t like. You are hunted down and destroyed.
I don’t want that for my country.
I will not be silent and intimidation won’t work with me.
Will it work with you? Will you be silenced? Or are you one of us?
