I’ve been thinking about this for days and I’ve come to the conclusion that there is only one reason I will vote for McCain.

The military.

It won’t be easy but for them I will vote for him.

I won’t like it and I won’t be happy having to do it but knowing how Obama and Hillary would treat the military if they were elected is reason enough for my decision.

The memories of how the military was treated while Bill was in office makes me ill.

I can’t punish the military by not voting or voting for the Dems.

Hillary’s Voice

Read this today and thought that’s the damned truth.

Hillary’s Voice

The thought of having to listen to that harpy voice for years would be enough to make me consider sticking a knitting needle in my right ear! Ugh!

Yeah, he may look like a model for a Grecian Formula ad, but I’m voting for him. I’ve thought about this and thought about it. I keep coming back to one thought… this is a case of two pieces of stinky cheese. I’m not happy with the odor wafting from either one of them, McCain or Romney. But I’ll choose the asiago over limburger any day.

Then if Mr. Asiago (aka Grecian Formula, aka Romney) screws us over, re: does things he said he wouldn’t do… we vote his ass out in four years.

Mr. Limburger (aka McCain) is too damned cozy with the democrats.. hell he’s barely a Republican. His record stinks to high heaven, he seems to like misleading people (this weekends fiasco is an example: Romney and Iraq), and simply being a Veteran and a POW isn’t reason enough for me to vote for him.

I think the one thing they should all be made aware of is that this is a temp job. Lie to us or screw up and your ass will be out the door in four years so fast that it will make your head swim.

Duncan Hunter endorses Huckabee

I think I’ll start drinking.

Things get stranger and stranger every day with this media driven election…

What To Do

Now that Fred is out I’m trying to figure out what to do now. Who the hell can I support?

I can’t vote for McCain. He’s careless, he spends too much time seeing which way the political wind blows, and he seems to be obsessed with being President. He also has that nasty temper… I don’t want someone like that in control. Never mind that I disagree with him on so many issues.

Huckabee. The whole homeschooling thing is a deal breaker with me. And for people whose claim to fame is being Christian he and his wife have a habit of cutting loose with nasty comments. He’s too damned glib. I think he’s one of those who will say he’ll take one side of a position and then when elected will switch. I hate that.

Romney. Something about the man bothers me. I can’t tell you what that is. He looks like he should be doing Grecian Formula commercials. He can’t seem to make a comment without having to go back and edit what he says. IF I had to I GUESS I could vote for him. Blech.

Paul. No. I can’t deal with his inability to distance himself from the Truthers. I also detest that whole blame America schtick he has going. Nope, can’t do it.

Rudy. I wish he was doing better than he is. I’d vote for him if I felt it would do any good. I don’t know.

Whichever one I choose is not my first choice. I’ll hold my nose and vote for the one that bugs me the least. I won’t be a cheerleader. But by God if he wins and does something contrary to what he promised to do for whatever reason I’ll work my ass off in four years to vote him out.

Because the one thing that humiliates someone elected President the most is to only serve one term and then be voted out.

So long Fred

Damn, I really wanted to vote for you, but I realize staying in or getting out of the race was a decision you and you alone had to make. I won’t whine and bitch because we sent money as some are doing. I won’t whine about how you wasted our time. You were the right candidate for me but you had to make the call. Good luck.

If you want to know more about Huckabee and homeschooling take a look at SpunkyHomeSchool. A ton of information on why homeschoolers shouldn’t support Huckabee, IMO.

*Thanks to Dana who posted the link in comments.

I remember a conversation with a relative from Arkansas at a family reunion after Clinton was elected President. I was told, as the relative laughed hysterically, that they voted for Clinton for President to get him the HELL out of Arkansas. My response was thanks for inflicting him on the rest of the damned country.

I think the best way to see what a politician is truly like is to listen to those who have experience living in the state he controleld on the local level. Today I read an article by a homeschooling couple in Arkansas on Huckabee. For all you homeschoolers out there who support Huck this ought to shake you out of the dreamworld you’re living in.

Golden Words from a Silver-Tongued Salesman

He is not friendly to homeschooling and for homeschoolers to be supporting him makes me question their intelligence.

They suck. Totally. The only thing they’ve proven is that they all do need change.

A change of diapers. Good god it’s like watching a bunch of children fighting or worse women fighting. You know that slap-slap-slap women engage in when they like to pretend they’re big and tough.

Romney? Forget it… he’s so slimy I’m surprised there isn’t a trail behind him when he walks. Besides I don’t trust a man who is better looking than most women.

McCain? Don’t make me laugh. The man’s index finger is perpetually raised to see which way the wind is blowing. I wish to God he’d quit bringing up his having been in the military. Of course if I drank it would make for one hell of a fine drinking game. I’d be flat on my drunk ass in five minutes.

Huck? No thank you we don’t need Reverend Clinton in office. There is something about him that I don’t trust. I think it may be that for all the support the Christians are giving him when he was in office he’d fuck them over and proceed to tell them that he was MORE of a Christian for doing it. Don’t trust him. I guess you could say he’s slimy in a hick kind of way. How in the hell can homeschoolers be supporting this man when he has an endorsement by a branch of the frigging NEA? And all this work together crap… haven’t most of you been bitching because Bush “works together” with the Democrats? WTF is wrong with you people?

Rudy? At one time I would have voted for him but at this point I think he’s beaten 911 to death. Time to let go of it, hon. You’ve got way too much liberal baggage for the coservative wing to even think of electing you. Yes it’s possible to have a change of heart after 911, many have, but you’re having to live with your past political actions now. Sucks to be you.

Ron Paul? OMG *thunk* Sorry, fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. No. Not only no but HELL NO.

Which brings me to Fred.. I love Fred. I will vote for him. But even I, a Fredhead from way way back, has to admit someone needs to set a fire underneath him. I do think he has a better chance out of the freezer of the north. What was odd to me was to see how at the last debate they all at one point or another said they agreed in some way with what he said and seemed to like him. Hell, why not? He’s the only adult on the friggin podium at each of these debates. If people would quit swooning over Romney and buying the Huckster’s line of bull and listen to Fred they’d realize that the man is the only true conservative up there. Yes, he’s older and slower but what the fuck the rest of us aren’t getting any damned younger are we?

I’m sticking with Fred.

brought to you by the usual suspects… Democrats.

Seems that Democrats on the county commission don’t like WIOD in Florida airing Limbaugh. So they no longer want the station to be the official channel for emergency information from Broward County during emergency situations.

During hurricanes for example…

Congrats guys.. once again you’ve proven that your side is so eaten up with dumbass over politics that you don’t give a rat’s ass about human beings.
