Season Finale 24

by Techievampire on May.23, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

Lame ending. Looks like the writers wrote themselves into a corner and couldn’t find a way out. Why not add one more twist at the end?

Yadda, yadda…

Chinese guy: You’re much too valuable to kill.
*Door opens and Logan’s boss (the guy on the phone) walks in*

All I can say about next season… at least he’s lost the man purse. YES!

Best visual interaction between characters: The small smile Martha gave Logan when he was confronted by the Secret Service. lol

Best line of the season: Aaron Pierce calling Logan “Charles” instead of Mr. President which was ad libbed btw from what I understand. Makes sense. Best line wasn’t written by the writers.

It will be interesting to see how Jack gets out of this one since he’s on a “slow boat to China”. :D

24 is gonna be around for 3 more years

by Techievampire on Apr.10, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

‘24′ star stays on Fox clock: Sutherland inks 3-year deal

That’s great. Good for him. A few suggestions:

Pick up the pace and don’t take 5 minutes of storyline and drag it out for an hour.

Show the man eating and drinking once in awhile. He’s supposed to be human, right?

Ditch the School Marm (Audrey)

and

Ditch the PURSE! It is a purse! It doesn’t matter how he puts it on it’s still a purse! Get him a vest with tons of pockets, a fanny pack, I don’t care what he uses but Jack Bauer carrying a purse is a bit much.

Oh. I just figured out why he carries the purse. It must have a urinal in it so his bladder doesn’t burst! ;D

Missed it again!

by Techievampire on Mar.17, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

I missed the carnival again! Crap!

Oh well you can go visit the Carnival of Bauer by clicking the image below.

They’re calling it the “Carnival of Tony’s Not Dead” this week.

Tsk, tsk, tsk… sad. Living in denial.

I’m sorry but it could be said Henderson killed Tony in self-defense.

What the fuck would you do if you opened your eyes and someone was standing over you holding a syringe of shit looking like he was about to kill you with it?

You’d do what Robo-Henderson did!

Missed the deadline for the Carnival of Bauer

by Techievampire on Mar.09, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

I was going to write a deep insightful post about the inner workings of Kim Bauer’s mind. While contemplating how her mind works… I fell asleep…

I’ll add a link later to the carnival when it’s up. Still trying to wakeup dammit.. *yawn*

*Added later

They’ve decided to temporarily rename the Carnival of Bauer to the Carnival of Edgar. Go check it out.

Hmm… after having done some surfing and thinking I believe I know who is soon to croak in next weeks episode. If it’s who I think it is… there is going to be a shitload of screaming from one certain group of fans. :D

24: Edgar

by Techievampire on Mar.07, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

Poor Edgar. I read the spoilers for the episode and it still got to me. It was like watching someone poison Eeyore but he went out a hero. He was told by Chloe to get out of the building and what did he do. He went back to operations. Because he was worried about her. The silent clock was a nice touch. They’ve only done that a few times I believe. For Mason and maybe Chapelle.

As far as blaming Edgar for Carrie buying the farm. Bullshit. The person who is ultimately responsible is Lynn for not telling anyone that he’d lost his damned key card. Ya know with all their fancy schmancy computers you’d think some kind of warning would have gone off because two Lynns were supposedly on site. You’d think being a counter terrorism unit that they’d know that at some point that terrorists might try and break in and make their day more difficult. But then again it’s easier to break into CTU than it is to break into my sock drawer.

So according to the promo for next week someone is going to give it up for the team. Who that will be is anyones guess. Having seen a few things I doubt that it’s Bill or Chloe. That doesn’t leave too many others. The next episode will be interesting there’s little doubt of that. Being claustrophobic the idea of being sealed in a room makes me want to run screaming down the street. *shudder*

Revising my “Need to Die” list:

Audrey: Two words: Plastic surgery. I don’t trust her. I don’t think she’s that innocent.
Barry the Shrink: I suspect he has little Kim on drugs and I wonder if he’s not dirty as well.
Kim: One word: Cougar
The Hobbit: If he’s not dead due to the gas he needs to die soon.
Henderson: He needs to die not because he’s part of the conspiracy but because the fucker would allow his wife to be shot or killed and not give up jack (excuse me) shit. He’s a real piece of work.

Dammit!

by Techievampire on Mar.06, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

I gave in to the dark side and spoiled myself for tonights episodes of 24.

Now I know the name of one character who dies tonight.

I like that character… Crap! :(

Hopefully they’ll off one of these characters too

Kim: It’s time. The ditz has been asking for it since hour 1. They’ve done the protect Kim thing to death.

Audrey: I can’t stand her. I don’t trust her. She’s too vacillating.

The Hobbit: He must die.

They should hook Jack up with Chloe. She knows exactly what he does and doesn’t flinch. She’s brutally honest and he’s.. well he can be brutal. lol Perfect couple. Plus she can handle a weapon if necessary. :D

24

by Techievampire on Mar.01, 2006, under Brain Killer (TV)

I watched the first two episodes and liked it but then for some reason, probably child related, I got distracted and never made it back to the show. I’ve watched the first two seasons now and I must say my first impression was correct. Great show.

But there are a few things I’d like to have seen in the first two seasons….

I’d love to have seen Tony or someone answer the phone when Kim called wanting to talk to her Dad say…
“I’m sorry Kim. Your Dad can’t come to the phone because he’s out being tortured right now. We’ll have him rescue you as soon as he gets back, k?”

Adverstisements for the cool touch soldering iron. They could have renamed it the Bauer24 and run ads for it on the show. Because when you’re torturing someone it must be a bitch to have to wait for your soldering iron to heat up. You’re in a hurry. You have other people waiting in line to be tortured. With the amazing Bauer24 you take it out of your pocket, apply the torture, then put it right back into your pocket without fear of being burnt and move on to your next victim.

I haven’t seen any other seasons of it yet but please. Someone tell me Kim is no longer the damsel in distress of the show? I can just imagine the writers of the show tossing around story ideas…

“What can we do to Kim this week?”
“We could have her captured by a gang of rabid beavers who threaten to gnaw her in half if Jack doesn’t stop the new dam from being built….”
“And how does Jack know she’s being held captive by the beavers?”
“One of the beavers could conviently drop his cell phone…”

All snarkiness aside I really do like the show.

BTW, I stumbled over the Blogs4Bauer blog recently. If you like the show it’s definitely worth a visit…
