9/11

Every year it gets worse. You see fewer things about what happened. Things are disappearing from the internet as time moves on. It grieves my soul. It angers me.
It seems like the public would like to go back to happy shiny-ville where nothing happened and it’s all peachy keen. Or worse… we now have a generation of kids who have seen the bullshit on the internet spewed by Truthers. History is being revised as I type this. I won’t let that happen for my son.
For years now I have been collecting anything I can find about 9/11. Photos, videos, dvds, newspapers, and magazines. I have some things that most people wouldn’t be able to handle viewing. Because they’re very, very graphic.
I have pdf files of Truther websites so I can explain to my son how some can take a historical event and twist it to fit their political philosophy. Collecting the Truther garbage makes my skin crawl and I end up feeling as if I need to take a shower after going to their sites.
I also have I don’t know how many tributes made by everyday people and placed on the net.
Every year it gets more difficult to find things.. especially on the net.. as the world slowly turns it’s back on the past.
I collect everything I can find and it will all go into an achival box and be kept along with a letter from
to my son I intend to teach him about 9/11 but I also want it to be kept for him to have after I am gone.
My legacy for my child is the truth.
The truth about a world changing event that some would rather ignore or worse, forget.
