Annoying phone calls from debt collectors

No. We’re not in debt. We’re out of debt. We do what we need to do even if it means living with less and doing the right thing and living up to what we promised to do.
But we have moved and our phone number changed. I also have a cell phone too.
The both of them ring all the time with phone calls for 4 different people. Wanting the money that they’re owed. I have no problem with them wanting their money. They should be getting it. But I do have a problem with people getting into debt and then leaving some poor slob (moi) holding the phone and having to deal with a mess they’ve created.
Sound familiar? Anyone? Anyone?!?
Home buyers who couldn’t afford what they bought?
Taxpayers who are going to be footing the bill for their stupidity?
ANYWAY…
At this point when I answer the phone I sound suspicious. I’m surprised I don’t frighten people when I answer the phone. I’m frustrated and angry. I spent a freakin HOUR on the phone dealing with one debt collector. BECAUSE OF SOMEONE ELSE!
Why do I have to clean up the burning bag of dog shit someone else left on my porch?
I’m looking at you Obama, Frank, Pelosi, etc.. etc.. etc.

I’m learning a new number for my daughter because of that stuff, she left real estate about 6 months ago, her broker partner left a lot of loose ends for her that aren’t her responsibility, she’s had enough and has changed her phone number. Maybe if you pitch a bitch at the phone providers they’ll change your number for free. If you have caller ID on the home phone you can add an answering machine and screen the calls, limiting it to those who you know. I pack a cell phone too but it’s for my use, it’s off until I use it then it’s back off, no text msgs and no voicemail they simply don’t get answered and no BS. Hope you can get it resolved.

Oh I think I’ll keep plugging away and telling them to remove our number. That’s worked so far. As far as the cell phone goes I keep mine on for family emergencies because I have relatives with health problems.
Surely there will be an end to the people who had these numbers before. lol
