I wanted to say that it’s not the people who were duped into joining ACORN that are the problem. Honestly most of them would be unable to give you a definition of socialism if you asked them what it meant. It’s the organizers and the upper echelon of the organization that actively manipulate the rank and file members that are the problem.
I was not a member. Someone in my family was. When I recall how those people were manipulated and lied to I get so angry I can’t even write about it.

My Mother worked in a bank.
She told me once she took a phone call from a woman who was wanting to know how much money she had in the bank. My Mother told her she was overdrawn.
The woman wailed I can’t be out of money.. I still have checks!
The second story isn’t funny but what the hell…
She got on the elevator one day and the ownert of the bank and two men were already on it. She said the owner was polite and said hello but looked really nervous. She reached her floor and left the elevator.
She didn’t find out until later that the reason the owner looked nervous was because he had a bomb strapped to his chest. The bank was in the midst of a robbery attempt. The two men with him were security.
BTW, the owner of the bank she worked for was very nice. When she was diagnosed with Cancer everyone including the owner of the bank bent over backwards to help us in any way they could. All bankers are not assholes.
I can’t deal with this anymore. I won’t be discussing the economic situation again unless something earth shattering happens. I just hope someone does something.

I’ve been watching what’s been going on the past few days and I’m horrified. I’ve seen some of the most heartless vile comments coming from people who at any other time are reasonable and thinking.
Here’s a clue for you morons. It’s not just the people who bought houses they couldn’t afford who will suffer.
It’s my family.
We didn’t buy a house (we could have but for some reason I felt like it was not the time.. now I know why.), we don’t use credit cards, we have NO debt, no car payment, we live within our means, and we’re frugal. My husband has worked all of his life. He’s not some parasite living off of the tax payers. He has Cerebral Palsy and has struggled all his life to make a living and be treated like a normal human being.
Tuesday my husband’s job ends. Due to greed at the corporate level.
It’s so fucking easy to sit in your chair in your house with, what you consider your safe employment situation, and say “let the parasites suffer they deserve it”. It’s not only those who were greedy YOU FUCKS it’s others who through no fault of their own are in danger.
I’ve seen crap spouted about how it’s standing on principle. My left nut! You have had YEARS to stand on principle yet you kept your fucking mouth shut and let them pass god only knows how much garbage legislation and bills. Did you say anything every time they passed bills passing out billions? No.
NOW you decide to stand on principle. Hypocrites.
It grieves my soul to have to think about this thing passing but I know from first hand experience what being hungry is like.

I lie to poll takers all the time. It’s a hobby of mine. I used to do phone polling when we were in TN. It bugged the hell out of me to see how manipulative the questions were. Then you have the weighting of the polls. Most of them now are weighted against the Republicans.
I don’t know how many I’ve done online.. from organizations. Not news channel/newspaper polls which are even more ludicrous because any boob with an ax to grind can vote in them. When I’ve done the ones online I’m a STRONG Obama supporter. I love him to death. I’m breathlessly waiting to receive my unicorn and free donuts when he’s elected! I’m also a Democrat!
When they wake up on Nov 5th and realize they’ve lost again they’ll be whining about how according to the polls he was supposed to win…

And for anyone who buys the BS about ACORN doing anything for low income members I suggest you really look at their website and their record. Especially look at the section of the site telling what a community organizer does.
They manipulate and agitate lower income communities into political action. Period. Very little gets done beyond that. Oh they do have small victories… very small and very few.
While you’re at the site take a look at their “people’s platform”. If you think that’s what you want for America go ahead and vote for Obama. If not you need to really think about who you’re voting for in November.
