He just called in to a New Orleans TV station.

What did he have to offer? That the citizens should listen to their local & state leaders and evacuate.

Duh…

Of course he was also sucking up to the two native newscasters (one the meterologist who was giving weather information when they broke in for his call as if it was more important) … saying he’d support Cat 5 level protection and the reconstruction of the wetlands.

I’d be willing to bet that his main concern is that the Rep Governor of LA is doing a much better job than the Dem that was in control during Katrina… plus that video of his fellow Dem licking his chops over the hurricane makes them look bad as well…

As a sidenote my in-laws (2 sister in-laws and their husbands) have packed up and gotten out already. Although one may be working in a a shelter at some point.

*Just want to add that personally I don’t think ANY of the Presidential candidates should be screwing around with this. Let the people in these areas do their jobs!

Being married to someone soon to be laid off I wanted to say that doesn’t mean I’m going to convert to a raving lunatic Democrat. Umm… I wonder why? Could it be because I have enough sense to realize that it’s not the Republicans fault?

It’s because I realize anytime a Democrat opens his mouth he’s 99% sure to be lying. I live in a state run by a Democrat and despite all their crap about caring for those in our situation did he do a damned thing to stop my Husband’s company from doing what it’s doing? No!

They lie. Period. Dammit. End of discussion.

What is my husband going to do? He’s going to get his ass out there and look for another job.

That’s what someone does who doesn’t believe they’re owed a living by the government.

If you can’t tell I’ve been watching the parade of poor pathetic bastards they’ve been running up on stage in Denver.

Jesus, people… have some common sense and self-respect!

The Second 9/11 If Democrats Were Right

We’re waiting for R to get another job. He’s being let go at the end of September at his current job. The timing sucks as I’ve been sick for over a week and am still trying to get over what was wrong with me. So as you can see I don’t have time for this blog at the moment. I know it’s been quiet for a long time but I wanted to say something so people would know.

When the time is right… I will be blogging about what’s been going on.

Please send good thoughts our way if you’re so inclined. For two years we have been waiting for the ax to drop. Our nerves are shot and we’re extremely stressed.
