Now that Fred is out I’m trying to figure out what to do now. Who the hell can I support?
I can’t vote for McCain. He’s careless, he spends too much time seeing which way the political wind blows, and he seems to be obsessed with being President. He also has that nasty temper… I don’t want someone like that in control. Never mind that I disagree with him on so many issues.
Huckabee. The whole homeschooling thing is a deal breaker with me. And for people whose claim to fame is being Christian he and his wife have a habit of cutting loose with nasty comments. He’s too damned glib. I think he’s one of those who will say he’ll take one side of a position and then when elected will switch. I hate that.
Romney. Something about the man bothers me. I can’t tell you what that is. He looks like he should be doing Grecian Formula commercials. He can’t seem to make a comment without having to go back and edit what he says. IF I had to I GUESS I could vote for him. Blech.
Paul. No. I can’t deal with his inability to distance himself from the Truthers. I also detest that whole blame America schtick he has going. Nope, can’t do it.
Rudy. I wish he was doing better than he is. I’d vote for him if I felt it would do any good. I don’t know.
Whichever one I choose is not my first choice. I’ll hold my nose and vote for the one that bugs me the least. I won’t be a cheerleader. But by God if he wins and does something contrary to what he promised to do for whatever reason I’ll work my ass off in four years to vote him out.
Because the one thing that humiliates someone elected President the most is to only serve one term and then be voted out.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Who really knows what he will do? Ironically, the first issue I ran into that concerned me was his position on a national smoking ban. It signified to me a lack of understanding for what the role of the federal government is in the private lives of citizens. And it came up again…this pretty much summarizes every concern I have with his flip flopping:

It’s so sad that we have been disenfranchised, I for one will never vote for McCain, he has sided with the vipers on the left in taking away my free speech, he stepped into the fray and sided with John Kerry slapping every Vietnam Veteran in the face over the issue of honesty and the question of Kerry’s treason, what is John hiding?
Huckabee, whew, the polished crook with the ordained license to pull it off, It’s OK to do as the Clintons do, just do it discretely, if he has the blind following of the Christians it makes him no lessor a false prohet than the mullahs of islam.
Ron Paul, his cut and run policies leave me unimpressed, I question his heritage thinking that maybe his forebears crossed the border in 1867 when the Mexicans killed Maximilian of Hapsburg who kicked out the French as Benito Juárez waged a struggle to the death against them. Paul is a popular French name.
You have pegged Romney, both he and Guilianni are heroes made by the media, who have the clout to buy the Oval office, someone said the message of the Republican party to its voters this year seems to be: “Vote for us because our democrats are better than their democratsâ€. For me it’s a write in.
