I remember a conversation with a relative from Arkansas at a family reunion after Clinton was elected President. I was told, as the relative laughed hysterically, that they voted for Clinton for President to get him the HELL out of Arkansas. My response was thanks for inflicting him on the rest of the damned country.
I think the best way to see what a politician is truly like is to listen to those who have experience living in the state he controleld on the local level. Today I read an article by a homeschooling couple in Arkansas on Huckabee. For all you homeschoolers out there who support Huck this ought to shake you out of the dreamworld you’re living in.
Golden Words from a Silver-Tongued Salesman
He is not friendly to homeschooling and for homeschoolers to be supporting him makes me question their intelligence.

But not all of us do….please don’t question all of our collective intelligences. I seriously think he benefited greatly by being relatively unknown in IA. Some organization brought him to the attention of conservative evangelicals, and they cast their votes before knowing all that much about him.
We homeschool, and we are for the guy posted in your sidebar. I just hope he stays in the race long enough for me to case a vote for him…in May. : (

I think I’d heard of Huckabee a few times before this. Wasn’t that impressed with him then. If what you said is true it makes sense.
I know what you mean about Fred. I’m hoping he hangs on till Feb 5th so I can vote for him. Although if he chooses to drop out because of his Mother being ill it will prove to me that he is what I believed him to be… a decent human being.

You may have seen this already, but Spunky, a homeschool advocate and former blogger, came out of her blogging retirement just to shed more light on this issue. She has done extensive research which has generated quite a bit of discussion among homeschoolers.
