Explicitly Ambiguous

Yeah, he may look like a model for a Grecian Formula ad, but I’m voting for him. I’ve thought about this and thought about it. I keep coming back to one thought… this is a case of two pieces of stinky cheese. I’m not happy with the odor wafting from either one of them, McCain or Romney. But I’ll choose the asiago over limburger any day.

Then if Mr. Asiago (aka Grecian Formula, aka Romney) screws us over, re: does things he said he wouldn’t do… we vote his ass out in four years.

Mr. Limburger (aka McCain) is too damned cozy with the democrats.. hell he’s barely a Republican. His record stinks to high heaven, he seems to like misleading people (this weekends fiasco is an example: Romney and Iraq), and simply being a Veteran and a POW isn’t reason enough for me to vote for him.

I think the one thing they should all be made aware of is that this is a temp job. Lie to us or screw up and your ass will be out the door in four years so fast that it will make your head swim.

We have two three-way lamps in our living room. I hate the things. They blow through light bulbs like there’s no tomorrow. Well joy of joys one of them totally went out Saturday. So yesterday I went light bulb shopping. Oh yes they had the lovely twisty CFs that I won’t touch with a ten foot cattle prod. I happen to like being able to see. I loaded up on 3-way bulbs and happened to notice the halogen bulbs. I debated buying one then decided what the hell let’s see what they’re like. It’s brighter and it’s not so tall that it sticks up over the lamp shade.. which is what the CFs did and what helped to burn my eyeballs to cinders. Since we live in a cave, windows only on one side.. after noon it gets dark fast, I think we’ll try more of the halogens. They also had 60 watt halogen bulbs and I’m going to pick some up today to try.

Excuse me while I bitch about my #1 pet peeve…

When I think about how I bought into the CF crap and how they’ve screwed up my eyes I could swear like a sailor. If Richard opens up a webpage and it’s white it nearly blinds me.. his monitor is right next to mine. I have to wear sunglasses when I drive because the glare of the sun blinds me. To use the net I have to have large white text and black backgrounds. I have graphics programs on my computer that I used to use all the time. Now I barely use them at all because of my eyes. I can’t read a book for longer than 30 minutes. Hell, I don’t read a book if I can help it I LISTEN to them if at all possible. I have trouble reading recipes. When Joshua was sick this weekend I couldn’t read the fucking label of his medicine bottle without a damned magnifying glass. I could read the labels before! You can bet your sweet ass when I get my eyes checked again I will be telling them how my eyes have been destroyed by those fucking “green” bulbs.

I’d love to lock 10 or 20 eco-nazis and some of those idiot politicians who voted to ban incandescants in a room filled with CFs for a week and then ask them what they think of their damned precious bulbs. They can take their ban and shove it where the sun don’t shine. Fuck saving money… FUCK the planet!

I’m angry, I’m bitter, and I want my god damned eyesight back!

Saving a couple of pennies is not worth losing something precious that you can never recover!

Now that Fred is out I’m trying to figure out what to do now. Who the hell can I support?

I can’t vote for McCain. He’s careless, he spends too much time seeing which way the political wind blows, and he seems to be obsessed with being President. He also has that nasty temper… I don’t want someone like that in control. Never mind that I disagree with him on so many issues.

Huckabee. The whole homeschooling thing is a deal breaker with me. And for people whose claim to fame is being Christian he and his wife have a habit of cutting loose with nasty comments. He’s too damned glib. I think he’s one of those who will say he’ll take one side of a position and then when elected will switch. I hate that.

Romney. Something about the man bothers me. I can’t tell you what that is. He looks like he should be doing Grecian Formula commercials. He can’t seem to make a comment without having to go back and edit what he says. IF I had to I GUESS I could vote for him. Blech.

Paul. No. I can’t deal with his inability to distance himself from the Truthers. I also detest that whole blame America schtick he has going. Nope, can’t do it.

Rudy. I wish he was doing better than he is. I’d vote for him if I felt it would do any good. I don’t know.

Whichever one I choose is not my first choice. I’ll hold my nose and vote for the one that bugs me the least. I won’t be a cheerleader. But by God if he wins and does something contrary to what he promised to do for whatever reason I’ll work my ass off in four years to vote him out.

Because the one thing that humiliates someone elected President the most is to only serve one term and then be voted out.

Damn, I really wanted to vote for you, but I realize staying in or getting out of the race was a decision you and you alone had to make. I won’t whine and bitch because we sent money as some are doing. I won’t whine about how you wasted our time. You were the right candidate for me but you had to make the call. Good luck.

I remember a conversation with a relative from Arkansas at a family reunion after Clinton was elected President. I was told, as the relative laughed hysterically, that they voted for Clinton for President to get him the HELL out of Arkansas. My response was thanks for inflicting him on the rest of the damned country.

I think the best way to see what a politician is truly like is to listen to those who have experience living in the state he controleld on the local level. Today I read an article by a homeschooling couple in Arkansas on Huckabee. For all you homeschoolers out there who support Huck this ought to shake you out of the dreamworld you’re living in.

He is not friendly to homeschooling and for homeschoolers to be supporting him makes me question their intelligence.

Hadn’t really realized until now how long I’ve been doing the blogging thing. I believe I really started sometime in 2003. It doesn’t look like that in my archive because I’ve had complete blog crashes losing everything. I started out as Poisoning Pigeons and then changed the name of the blog.

Thats a lot of typing and hair pulling while fighting wordpress…

Cleaned everything up, moved links to my RSS reader, moved the blogrolls that were left to the blogrolls page and moved the other links (Gl warming and 911 conspiracy debunkers) to other pages on the site. It looks lean, mean, and clean.

Now IF I decide to update wordpress it won’t be such a bear to do it.

I’m going to be removing some of the links to other blogs that I read. I have them in an RSS reader and in a favorites folder for those without an RSS feed (hint, hint). I’ll be weeding out the reciprocal links to for dead ones… well you know what I mean. Think I’ll remove the Fred news thingies too. I can’t read them so what the hell. lol

Wordpress is still honking at me to update. Yeah, whatever. When I’m ready I will but for now I express my irritation by giving my blog the proverbial finger. Screw you and cut it out!
