You read a sentence like that in a story and it makes you wonder. A Mother in Spokane went into a store and left her baby in the car. She was wandering around the store with an infant carrier. Hmm..
I’d think that if you’re carrying that around you’d know something was missing…

I’ve been sleep deprived after having my son. I understand that weird strange awake/unawake state you live in.

I KNEW I was dangerous during that period.

If it got extremely bad I asked for help and got it, thanks to Richard.

I remember a few times going to the store by myself and not knowing if he was with me or not. I would check the back seat to make sure he wasn’t there.

If in this situation it was sleep deprivation she clearly needs help. If not.. then they need to do what should be done.

BTW, check out the spelling in that article… damn.

That is just as bad as a recent case from France where a mother just up and left her 4 year old kid at a restaurant. The mother left the country with her newborn.

First off she is not a mother, that is not the way a mother behaves. Good lord I have spent most of my life raising kids, from my own brothers and sister to my own child and my niece. Whether it be me or my parents you never let them out of your sight, my mother was harried with 9 of us and she always sacrificed to provide for us. My own child was never left unattended for any reason, that baby went everywhere we went or we didn’t go. If she can’t take the time to care for that child there is someone out there that will. Both she and the father need to be fixed so it won’t happen to another child.

Here is another one that lacks basic maternal instincts:
