I need a break

It isn’t going to be permanent but I’m tired of all the bellyaching, whining, and carping going on over political crap. I’m referring to those on my side. The other side’s bitching is getting to be too much as well.

I have important things to do. As an example an experiment with pinto beans in a glass jar filled with water so that my son can watch what happens for a science experiment. Earth shattering stuff for a first grader.

The election cycle is just too damned long for my tastes. Gah…

I’ll be back in the fall. If I see something that really twists my underwear into a knot I’ll post but beyond that I think taking a break will get me ready for this fall when all hell will break loose.

I will be back…

Pssst… I’ll probably still post over at my personal and cooking blogs. I’m just up to here (holding hand above head) with political crap.

Few people in Africa will get to see Al Gore and his troupe of rock-star ecologists strutting their stuff during the series of Live Earth concerts this weekend –because most have neither television nor electricity.

That’s just as well, because they would be aghast at LiveEarth’s bizarre message. In Africa, we have much more serious things to worry about than climate change.

Indeed, if they achieve their objective the concerts will have done harm to the people of Africa.

Definitely a must read… read the whole thing here.

You read a sentence like that in a story and it makes you wonder. A Mother in Spokane went into a store and left her baby in the car. She was wandering around the store with an infant carrier. Hmm..
I’d think that if you’re carrying that around you’d know something was missing…

I’ve been sleep deprived after having my son. I understand that weird strange awake/unawake state you live in.

I KNEW I was dangerous during that period.

If it got extremely bad I asked for help and got it, thanks to Richard.

I remember a few times going to the store by myself and not knowing if he was with me or not. I would check the back seat to make sure he wasn’t there.

If in this situation it was sleep deprivation she clearly needs help. If not.. then they need to do what should be done.

BTW, check out the spelling in that article… damn.
