We’ve been on the 12-8 schedule for a week now.
Good god I had no idea how brain-dead you feel after being up all night long. I’ve been needing to go to the store for the past few days but when it gets to 8am I’m ready to crash. I don’t have the energy to face walmart after being up all night and it’s kind of disorienting to wake up in the afternoon. I guess I’ll try and go tomorrow after crashing. R’s off tomorrow night and Sunday. The kid of course has taken to the schedule like a duck to water. He’s a night owl. I don’t know how he’s going to feel when he starts doing his school work in the middle of the night. lol Giving him a week to get used to the change.
Do you realize how boring TV is in the middle of the night? After a week of sorting and cleaning out my recipe collections, watching documentaries about Krakatoa and global glaciation theory, crocheting dish cloths and pot holders till I’m sick of them and finally giving in and watching Ring Two I gave up and tried something else last night.
I had bought some fabric, with dinosaurs of course, for curtains for the kid.. made those last night. Lined the curtains in our bedroom with double black fabric so light won’t be a problem during the day, and fixed a pair of curtains I’d made before for the living room. In the process of lugging around my portable sewing machine and my huge fishing tackle box (aka: sewing box) I managed to do something to my right shoulder and arm. I’m right handed. (It took forever to type this one handed!)
Looks like I’m back to watching television tonight… oh lord…..
The only bright spot in all of this is that with all of us switching our schedule we DO get to spend more time together at night before Richard goes to work.
