The weather is a pain in the ass. It’s making it hard for me to do much with my hands so I’ve been spending time reading Vince Flynn books, which I’ve just discovered and love, and doing the usual homey things when I’m able. I’m not ignoring people. I do read off and on. I have to limit what I do so the blog is going on hold for now until the weather straightens it’s ass up.
I just answered another one.
The questions revolved around these subjects: New Years Resolutions, starving runway models, fashion trends, basically questions asking if I thought the Democrats knew shit or were going to destroy the country. (You can guess my answers to those.) Questions about the economy, terrorism, the Iraq war, discrimination, religion, how I felt about the President, and even fucking global warming.

They have an agenda and it’s clear to see from the questions and how they’re asked. And I still want to know why the hell it’s so fucking important to them to ask if I shop at Wal-Mart and if I’m a fucking NASCAR fan? Could it be that it confirms their stereotypes?
The answers are yes, I shop at fucking Walmart every two weeks and NO I am NOT a fucking NASCAR fan.

Watched 24 last night and dammit they ruined the Wonder Pets/24 crossover I was writing! Guess I’ll have to rewrite it now.

Sleet hitting the window woke me up. Watching the local weather and we’re about to get thunderstorms with freezing rain.
Richard just told me that the cabbie that brought him home from work last night said the only people he picked up last night, besides Richard, were people who wanted to go a few blocks to liquor stores. Jesus.
Personally at this point I’m praying for herds of big honking angels to hold up the power lines. If the power goes out with the streets so bad we’re pretty much stuck here in the dark and cold. Our apartment is all electric.
I hate winter.

Boxer is an example of what the Democrats are going to act like now and the MSM are not going to be quick to tell you about it.
It comes down to this. Condi can choose to do what she wants. Isn’t that what freedom of choice is about? She’s not the only one without a family.. how about all those Democrats without children?
Also as most Democrats seem to forget our military is a volunteer military. No one has been drafted. They really need to get that through their thick fucking skulls. But if you understand the way they really think then you understand they don’t give two shits about the Iraq war or the soldiers.
It’s all about cash, baby. Cash they want to feed into their pet social programs. Money they want to use for other purposes. If we’re fighting a war then that money is tied up and can’t be used to win them political points with their core voters.
Maybe I’ve gotten really cynical as I’ve gotten older but to me it’s simple to see the Dems don’t give a rats ass about anyone but themselves. They want political power and if it takes an infusion of cash into the nanny state programs they love more than life itself (and it has nothing to do with compassion for others) then this war has to end.
What about the Iraqis? They don’t care what happens to them.
The safety of America? They don’t fucking care as long as they’re in power.

Nope, not politics. Richard called in sick. He said he had been debating whether to call in or not. I asked if he wanted to know what I thought. He did.. well he knew he was going to hear it. I told him the reason so many people are sick is because some dumb idiot goes to work sick and spreads it around. So he called in. I figure they knew he was sick after Friday night. God, he sounded awful. He wouldn’t make it through the night tonight. Better for him to be home and sleeping this crap off.
I’ll be doing my best to keep the kid quiet so he can sleep.

I’m over that hideous cold it seems everyone has. Richard came down with it when I was about 3-4 days into it and he’s still trying to fight it off. It’s rough on us old farts. He took off two nights to stay home when I was sick. Makes me feel guilty and I worry bout the sweet goofball. He’s off tonight but is due to go back to work tomorrow night.
Any kind thoughts you could send in his direction would be appreciated.
Joshua has the runny nose, sore throat, and an occasional cough.. heres hoping that it stays mild for him. I’d hate for the little guy to end up as sick as we’ve been.

This is of interest to me because I love to fish. The animal freaks have won another victory. Good god it’s a damned good thing none of them ever went fishing with me.
I used worms and cut them into smaller segments. Yeah it was nasty but the fish went batshit over them. The worms weren’t too thrilled with it but I didn’t care. I’m a heartless evil bitch. I’m pretty sure fish feel pain after having driven a knife behind the heads of crappie as I cleaned them to eat them. Those little tail fins just bent and wriggled. But you know what crappie taste damned good with a side of hush puppies.
Which for those animal fanatics who might be reading this are NOT made with puppies.
