An honorable man would have taken responsibility for his comments. He would have apologized that the comment came out like it did and explained that it was a mangled joke.

But not John Kerry. He has to act like he’s four years old. He refuses to accept responsibility for his comments, intentional or otherwise, and blames others for his inability to tell a joke.

He should be ashamed of himself.

It’s time for him to retire.

Last night I told Richard I’d been having problems with my computer after having updated Firefox and AVG anti-virus and trying Avast anti-virus. He suggested uninstalling them both. Ended up with a giant furball. We have no idea how, unless when I uninstalled firefox it tinkered with Thunderbird, all of my mail was gone when I checked mail. Richard spent HOURS last night getting it all to work right. I backed up a version of Firefox just to be safe and we downloaded and installed Panda anti-virus. We like it so much we’re thinking of purchasing it after the free trial. The computer hasn’t had a brain fart since so hopefully all is back to normal.

It’s not what it used to be. Packs of kids scouring the neighborhood for hours until late at night. Every house on the street with their porch light on letting kids know where the good stuff was. Now it’s parents following their kids around with flashlights making sure their kids go only to the places that are safe. Or taking the little darlings to a mall which is even safer. To me the one thing that symbolizes how far Halloween has fallen is the x-raying of candy. Come on! I remember well the rampaging of the neighborhood for hours then the return home to stand waiting while our Mother checked the candy out and the joy of having it shoved back into the bag and handed back to us. Bah!

Last year there wasn’t one kid out trick or treating in the apartment complex. Not one stopped at the door. Halloween has changed. It’s no longer about kids rotting their teeth out and getting stomach aches for days. It’s more of an excuse to buy that “darling” spider shaped candle stick and the jack o’ lantern stew pot. It’s turned into a Martha Stewart style excuse to decorate the house in cobwebs and bloody hands. We don’t bother with it. (Yes, I did the halloween layout for the blog but that witch rocked! Reminded me of a costume my mother made me a long time ago.:D)

The only good thing, IMO, about Halloween is that it’s a good time to buy spiders for my son the arachnid fan. :D

I take all my meds in (a big three) and the doc finally comes in. He starts asking all these questions. He wants to change the allergy med I was taking because he had no idea what it was. He prescribed something else that is more directed at the specific areas I have problems with related to allergies. I’m cool with that. Then he says he’ll keep me on the Cozaar because my blood pressure was very good. Then we get to the xanax my former doctor gave me for situational anxiety. He asked questions and honestly it was hard to keep up with him. He decided to give me some samples of Cymbalta to try. He talked to me for 15 minutes and he seemed to draw the conclusion that I was “anxious” all the time. Which isn’t true. I had the xanax and when I thought about taking it 9 times out of 10 I wouldn’t. I am doing a hell of a lot better than I was a year ago. I had been on Zoloft and Lexipro, prescribed by my previous doctor, and had felt disconnected and depressed and went off ot them. Well I’m sitting here watching television tonight and what do I see? An ad for Cymbalta. Everyone in it is down, DEPRESSED, sitting in front of the television crying and eating, you get the picture. That is not me. I’m a happy person and when I was on that other crap it made me feel like shit after awhile. I do NOT want to go there again. I don’t like feeling medicated. I have a kid and when I was on the other drugs I feel like I lost time with him. I don’t know how to explain it. I was there, taking care of him, loving him, etc. But his Mother wasn’t “really there”. It felt really strange. I refuse to do that again. I’m going to call his office in a few days and tell them I won’t take it and offer to take the samples back along with telling them I won’t be getting the xanax filled. I’ll deal with my problems my own damned way.

My son needs his Mother… not a fucking meatcicle that is barely there because she’s in a stupor having been drugged so she’ll “feel better”. That’s bullshit.

His skilled oration on domestic politics may be flawless, but his grip on foreign policy is error-prone. Yesterday he stumbled into gaffes on the North Korean nuclear tests and then mentioned Australia in the same breath as rogue nations wanting to go nuclear.

Read the rest here

I recall the Democrats ridiculing Dan Quayle when he made mistakes.

Looks like they have one of their own now.

Hehe

Evidently on the campaign/speaking circuit Purell hand sanitizer is a huge thing.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 — Campaigns are filthy. Not only in terms of last-minute smears and dirty tricks. But also as in germs, parasites and all the bacterial unpleasantness that is spread around through so much glad-handing and flesh-pressing.

“You can’t always get to a sink to wash your hands,” said Anne Ryun, wife of Representative Jim Ryun, Republican of Kansas.

Hands would be the untidy appendages that transmit infectious disease.

In Clean Politics, Flesh Is Pressed, Then Sanitized

All they have to do is not touch their mouth or eyes and wash their hands after an event. Hand sanitizers can be very drying. I have a bottle on my desk that I use once in awhile. I used to use it all the time in the diaper bag I dragged around. It was good for at least giving you the feeling of having cleaner hands after changing a diaper when we were out. Washing your hands often with plain old bar soap works just as well.

Honestly though… even if they’re careful with their hands think of all of those people laughing or coughing in their faces and all those nasty little germs being transmitted.

Ewwww! :D

27  Oct
Enlightenment

(For those of you who don’t know who this is posted to that is the nickname of the truther troll that posted a comment here.)

How is DC working out for you? Yes, I know where you are because unlike you I know how to do all kinds of cool internet tricks. I assume COVAD is your ISP?

(For those trolls out there who love to post nasty comments your IPs are being logged. You are not anonymous. You may think you are but you’re not.)

People who lie to others to gain their support are reprehensible. (ie: Enlightenment) What’s even worse is that they’re lying to themselves which makes them a mental case or an idiot in search of it’s village. (ie: Enlightenment)

Enlightenment lied in it’s comment. It claimed that the jet that hit the Pentagon “vaporized”. There were no pieces left “larger than a fist”.

Enlightenment chose poorly. It chose the wrong blog to post it’s lies. This is me being relatively calm. You don’t want to see me when I’m angry. I hate those people. I feel no emotion but pure anger when I read their lies, their twisting of truths, their inability to accept that what happened on 9/11 was a fucking TERRORIST ACT. The loathing started when I read a website where they claimed that the pilot of the jet that was flown into the Pentagon was actively inolved in their imagined conspiracy and murdered his passengers as part of the conspiracy.

I have read so much of the conspiracy garbage that I’m sick of it. I know exactly what these people think. They’re fucking insane. I don’t know if it’s because of fear or just an inability to deal with the truth. Those of us who watched it happen know the truth. We don’t want to hear or read your lies. You can’t win with reasoned arguments so now you’re resorting to villifying the victims and people like the Naudet brothers. Kudos to them btw for not taking your shit. I hope they sue you bastards for every fucking dime you have. I hope you end up living down by the river in a fucking cardboard box. Copyright infringement is a bitch ain’t it?

To all you other fucking loon truthers don’t bother posting comments on my blog. You show no concern for the victims of this TERRORIST ACT. You are more interested in foisting your false theories onto the public. When you care more about the victims than you do your theories then we’ll talk.

Until then your comments are banned and deleted.

Of course this is after having saved your IP address.

Commening assholes that is. One of them knows how to cut and paste and is a “911 truther”

Anyone who has read my blog knows I detest these lying scumbags. What really pisses me off is the bullshit about the plane at the Pentagon vaporizing on impact. The evidence is out there and they CHOOSE not to see it. I’ll deal with this later after I get Richard off to work.
