My chair declared a jihad on my ass

The chair I use at the computer tried to kill me. I mean it. I was sitting in it the other night and had no clue that one bolt had come out of the back. The back was only being held on with one bolt. My Mother always told me not to lean back in chairs but did I listen? Hell no!
I leaned back and the remaining bolt sheared off sending me crashing to the floor, banging my head on the end table, and then onto our soft (HA!) carpet covered concrete (no padding) where my poor skull bounced a few times. I landed with the wind knocked out of me and a clip board lying on my face. Don’t ask me how I did it but I managed to knock the damned thing into the air when I fell. After the poor kid freaking out and finally being able to speak I looked over and noticed that the top of my head was about 4 inches away from the patio door. If I’d been just a little closer… ugh. Don’t want to think about it.
I’ve been off the computer because of that. I’m not brain damaged (laughing here lol) but I have aches and pains all over my poor body not the least of which is a sprained left wrist. I won’t be around for the next couple of days to give my poor battered body time to recover.
I would like to make one suggestion to anyone reading this.
TIGHTEN UP THE SCREWS AND BOLTS ON YOUR CHAIRS! LOL!

Now to make light of this. Go to the doc and say “I was just minding my own business, blogging away and wham, I ended up with all these cuts & bruises.”
