I read an article at the Australian (The title leaves a lot to be desired. Sheesh.) that had this quote in it concerning the current situation:

Residents complain that sonic booms caused by Israeli jets traumatise children and that shelling confines families to their homes.

And I suppose dressing your children in suicide belts doesn’t traumatise them?

‘End Times’ Religious Groups Want Apocalypse Soon

I thought it was a funny article. Most wouldn’t. It’s funny to me because I was always taught no one knows when the end will come. It’s up to God to decide. You can’t force it. Period. Anyone who thinks you can force it is an idiot.

I also wondered why they didn’t include (yeah, like they would) in the article the people on the left who claim that George Bush is the Antichrist. If that’s not an apocalyptic view I don’t know what is. I guess it didn’t fit their “take” on the article.

I always chuckle when I see one of them talking about it because they don’t know much about the Antichrist. If George Bush were the Antichrist his approval raitings would have to be much, much higher. Those polls done of people in other countries wouldn’t bash him they’d be raving about him. lol

Interestingly it’s not being reported by other news organizations. Mentioned seeing his press conference on FOX to Richard. Can’t find it anywhere else yet but did find this on Santorum’s site.

June 21, 2006
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, joined Congressman Peter Hoekstra, (R-MI-2), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, today to make a major announcement regarding the release of newly declassified information that proves the existence of chemical munitions in Iraq since 2003. The information was released by the Director of National Intelligence, John Negroponte, and contained an unclassified summary of analysis conducted by the National Ground Intelligence Center. In March, Senator Santorum began advocating for the release of these documents to the American public.

“The information released today proves that weapons of mass destruction are, in fact, in Iraq,” said Senator Santorum. “It is essential for the American people to understand that these weapons are in Iraq. I will continue to advocate for the complete declassification of this report so we can more fully understand the complete WMD picture inside Iraq.”

From the article Ann Coulter: America’s fiery, blond commentatrix

But nobody’s talking too much about the finer points of Miss Coulter’s argument. Instead, everyone — from Hillary Rodham Clinton down — is going bananas about a couple of paragraphs on page 103 and 112 in which the author savages the 9/11 widows. Not all of them. Just the quartet led by Kristen Breitweiser and known as “the Jersey Girls.” These four widows have been regular fixtures in the New York TV studios since they first emerged to complain that the average $1.6 million-per-family compensation was insufficient. The 9/11 commission, in all its ghastly second-guessing showboating, was largely their project.

*Emphasis added

Evidently I’m not the only one who recalls the Jersey Girls talking in articles about how they exerted pressure on the 911 commission. Is it any wonder that the end result was a circus side show or that they concluded what they did? What has always bothered me about the Jersey Girls and their ilk is that they would place blame on the government for the deaths of their family members. The terrorists are responsible for the deaths of their family members. Not the government.

They act as though the Bush administration could have simply clapped their hands and stopped the attacks as if they were turning off a light (clap lights). To truly do anything that would have stopped this you would have own a time machine. Because this didn’t start on September 11th. It started years ago.

Don’t get me started on “victimhood”. Mark Steyn gets it and explain it.

I knew it would be great to use for music and my Phil Hendrie podcast files but I’ve found something else I love. With the problems I have with my eyes I use Natural Reader to read text online to save my eyes. I hadn’t thought about audio books as an option. Tried my first one last week. It’s wonderful. Now I can do the kids schooling, read online, and have my books as well without going temporarily blind. lol

I’m going to have to start saving money to feed my new hobby. lol
