We went out yesterday and picked out a sofa, chair, and a new mattress set for the kid. I’ve never bought “new” furniture before so I was a bit overwhelmed with having to make a decision. I found a red sofa I liked but the chair didn’t impress me. Plus the fact that it was made of some micro fiber. Wasn’t too sure how it would do with the cats. So I walked around a bit more and found this.

We bought the matching chair too. The sofa was around 500.00 less than it started out at and the chair was discounted too. I’m cheap. lol I couldn’t pay full price for them. The mattress set we bought for the kid is really nice. It has a really thick pillow top so it should be comfortable. We bought him a cute comforter set too. Dinosaurs. I hadn’t even noticed until Joshua pointed it out but it also has mammoths on it. So I guess I done good picking it out. lol

Also bought curtains and rods for the three windows along with a drill to put them up with. I also picked up a woman’s tool set just for me for when I need something and can’t find it in Richard’s multiple tool boxes.

We couldn’t lift the old sofa to get rid of it so Richard took it apart. It took him 7 hours. It was huge and damned well put together.

I guess today is going to be all about getting the final things packed up, taking tables apart, etc.

I need to make a list of what not to forget.

You won’t hear from me until probably late Tuesday when the cable/internet/phone will be reconnected.
