Whew

Thanksgiving was fun. I mean that. I made homemade from scratch stuffing and it was great. I made a lowfat chocolate cream pie, cooked the turkey or course, and brussel sprouts, asparagus, and mashed potatoes and gravy. I also tried something with the sweet potatoes. I peeled and cut up the potatoes and instead of adding all kinds of god awful sweet creamy things to it I added some orange juice and a bit of brown sugar. They were out of this world.

Now for the bad news. I bought a glucose monitor. My numbers are up a bit. Much more and I’ll be a full blown diabetic. That will not work. Not right now. Of course it’s stress that’s caused all this to come to a head. So I’m back to trying to watch what I eat, exercise, and checking numbers.

Blech.

Oh the kid and I made some cinnamon scented ornaments and I’ve started painting again to relax.

I paint cleaned out chicken eggs (lol) to turn into christmas ornaments.

Oh well need to de-stress as usual today.

Lord….

We’re thinking about putting up the Christmas tree early. Maybe next week. It’s the one thing I really enjoy at Christmas and we’re thinking doing it early and having it up longer would keep it from getting too damned depressing around here. We’re only doing for the kid this year. I’m going to be getting his stuff early.

Maybe we’ll wrap some of them and put them under the tree to get him wired. lol We usually put them out on Christmas morning. He’ll probably pop a gasket before Christmas if he has to wait but my favorite son has a need to learn patience.

He’s like his Mother. He has none. lol

The only thing I want this Christmas is for Richard to find a job.

I’m sitting on my ass listening to the free stream from streaming soundtracks while he’s doing math with the wee child.

There are very few benefits… but that is one of the few that I can think of.. him spending more time with the kid. *sigh*

This sucks. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s easy to find a job right now.

If they do they’re lying.
