Nothing new on the job front. His interview was postponed… they couldn’t get all the people together for the meeting from what I understand.
We’re on our second “nursery” of butterflies. Unfortunately Thibby (our cat) discovered them today. I ran her off. Lucky for us her attention span is short. We’ll probably release them today or tomorrow. Lord I hope I don’t cry. I get attached to the little suckers. When I give them their food (sugar water) they jump onto my hand they get so excited. *sigh* I’m an idiot. Anyway the next group will probably be the last until spring. It’s getting really hot and I’d hate to order them and have them die in transit. Then I really would cry! lol
This genealogy thing is wild. Richard made a comment last night that I need to quit adding to the tree and work on the ones I have. Hehe, I can’t help it.. he’s more interested in the closer family members. I’m a history freak so I love working on the ones from way back. As an example for the life of us we couldn’t figure out where the name Hubert came from in his family. I had a brickwall with one of his family members. I spent I don’t know how long working on her trying to figure out who her family was. Finally had a bit of a breakthrough but wasn’t sure I was right. The family “felt” right. Then I noticed that the Father’s name was Frederick H. Ding!Ding!Ding! Went the bells in my head. Could this be our Hubert? Still wasn’t sure. Made a post on a message board which has been totally ignored. (Genealogy freaks can be a bit odd. lol) Then yesterday I stumbled over another tree by a woman in the county this family is from. We had a son of the woman I was researching with a middle name of B. We didn’t know what the full middle name was. This woman’s tree had the full middle name and the middle name was the maiden name of Frederick H’s wife.
I think I’m on the right track. lol
