Richard came home this morning and told me that a woman he works with saw his newly knitted hat and loved it. She asked him if I’d knit one for her and would I like her “stash” (yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles) in return for doing it. Mama didn’t raise a fool I said hell yes! I’m a fiber freak… she who dies with the most yarn/knitting/crocheting goodies wins! lol I haven’t ordered my christmas gift (yarn of course) yet because I was waiting to see if I’d be busted on diabetic supplies if they clamp down on my ass at the Docs. (Waiting for the phone call with the results… ugh) I did find out that if I DO need the supplies our insurance covers it 100% so I’m going yarn shopping and wrist weight shopping later.
After it taking three weeks to get the last results I’m doubtful about the 3 day estimate I was given this time. I just wish they’d let me know so if I have to join this club I can buy a damned t-shirt and get on with it. I’ve been over at the ADA forums and they make you feel less scared and give you hope. I feel better and having been doing my best to eat right I “feel” better.
I also enjoyed my peaceful mommy time day with Joshua yesterday… we watched his Jurassic Park movies and talked and cuddled on the couch. I think we’re going to start mommy and daddy days with Joshua. Along with having a game night. I think he feels better too, bless his heart, I love my little munchkin.
