I really wanted to go to the grocery store today but can’t because of my back.
*crickets*
Okay, I wanted to go to the grocery store today because a thrift shop has moved in next door.
Hehe reminds me of my Grandmother. After my Mother died I became my Grandmother’s “shopping buddy”. Loved it.. she was a hoot. I’d get a phone call and she’d tell me she needed to go to the store. We had two we went to, one closer (WM), and the other a bit further out (PM). I’d try to keep from laughing as I asked which store she wanted to go to.. full well knowing what the answer would be.
She’d say “PM. While we’re there we could drop in at the thrift shop and look around. They added to their inventory today.”
As if I’d have said no.
We’d get to the thrift shop and she’d start her “rounds”. She didn’t look at a few areas of the store she checked out ALL of it. We’d spend around an hour or an hour and a half. She’d almost always find something she had to have. lol
Then we’d go to the grocery store and be there maybe 15 to 30 minutes. lol
I knew this was more about the thrift store than groceries. What the hell it gave her pleasure.
So I guess my desire to “go to the grocery store” means the acorn didn’t fall too far from the tree.
