While working on a birthday/housewarming afghan for my Aunt Karen I decided that an afghan for Richard’s four sisters, and his Step Mother might be nice Christmas gift. After having gotten involved in a family group I’ve reconsidered and decided to do one more afghan for Christmas. For my other Aunt, Elaine.
So the afghan count for Christmas now stands at 6.
Thank god they’ll be mile-a-minute afghans or I’ll be crocheting till the end of the world.
I’m also making one for myself out of a gorgeous variegated red-orange-yellow yarn with off-white. Very bright, happy, and colorful for this winter.
Beyond that I’ve got a full load of things to do for the next few days:
Saturday: Renew my drivers license… god only knows how horrible the picture will be… along with a few more errands.
Sunday: Grocery shopping.. I hate grocery shopping. And shampooing the livingroom/dining room/hall carpet. Oh joy!
Monday: Cox is to come out and set us up with digital phone service. Saving around 80.00 a month. I think I’ll give Richard the joy of waiting for them to show up while I sneak over and buy some yarn for some of the afghans.
Tuesday: Might go on a thrift shop junket.. looking for knitting needles, etc. I love a grab bag filled with yarn and other goodies.
Guess I’d better research some colors for the afghans…
